The Public Library of Kalamata has published the series of “Messinian Letters” in three volumes. The first volume was released in 1956 and was a major literary event for the city, at the time. The second volume was published in 1967 and the third in 1981. The first volume was republished in 2004 and the second in 2009. In 2004, the Contemporary Greek Art Gallery of Kalamata also published a luxurious catalogue of its exhibits.
Digitization of Rare Publications
The Kalamata Public Library received funding from the Ministry of Culture through the Creative Greece Programme and the Digital Cultural Actions Programme for the project entitled “Digital Kalamata Public Library”, focusing on the digitization of rare publications.
